چکیده

This paper investigates the Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) data-rate increases possible with the Dynamic Spectrum Management (DSM) methods known as Level 3 Vectoring and Level 2 Band Preference. A suggested sequence of increasingly binder-adaptive DSM steps appears herein to assist and motivate DSL service providers and equipment vendors to progress in use of DSM. In particular, studies of bounds of spectral balancing find Band Preference as a practical method that provides the highest possible Level 2 performance in bundled or unbundled DSL environments. Investigations of vectoring begin with differential vectoring and show very high DSL data rates. These data rates increase further through the use of full-binder vectoring, leading to projections of feasible DSM vectored implementations of multi-100Mbps DSLs.

MEtaGile: A Pragmatic Domain-specific Modeling Environment

Domain-specific modeling (DSM) is a software development methodology that promises greater gains in productivity by systematizing the use of domain-specific languages (DSL). This paper first addresses the notions of abstraction and specificity by comparing some existing languages, and proposes an original representation that highlights the global advantages of using DSLs. This document presents...

Amalgamation of domain specific languages with behaviour

Domain-specific languages (DSLs) become more useful the more specific they are to a particular domain. The resulting need for developing a substantial number of DSLs can only be satisfied if DSL development can be made as efficient as possible. One way in which to address this challenge is by enabling the reuse of (partial) DSLs in the construction of new DSLs. Reuse of DSLs builds on two found...

Well-Typed Islands Parse Faster

This paper addresses the problem of specifying and parsing the syntax of domain-specific languages (DSLs) in a modular, userfriendly way. That is, we want to enable the design of composable DSLs that combine the natural syntax of external DSLs with the easy implementation of internal DSLs. The challenge in parsing composable DSLs is that the composition of several (individually unambiguous) lan...

Domain-Specific Languages

Recently, there has been a growing interest in what have come to be known as domain-specific languages (DSLs). This paper introduces a definition for DSLs, explains how DSLs can have a far-reaching impact on our lives, and discusses why DSLs are here to stay.
